Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Our Adventist Life (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit OurAdventistLife.com (the “Website”). It covers what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you can control them. Please read it together with our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit. They help the site work properly and can provide information to the site owner.

Cookies set by us are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another company are called third-party cookies. We also use similar technologies, such as small scripts that measure how pages are used. In this policy, “cookies” includes these technologies.

Our approach

We keep cookie use to a minimum. We do not run advertising, we do not use cookies for targeted or interest-based ads, and we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.

We use only two types of cookies:

  1. Strictly necessary cookies, which the Website needs in order to function and to remember your cookie choices.
  2. Analytics cookies from Google Analytics 4, which help us understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it.

Your consent

Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: We place analytics cookies only after you give consent through our cookie banner. Until you click “Accept,” Google Analytics cookies are not set. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the cookie settings icon at the bottom left of any page. Withdrawing consent does not affect any processing that took place before you withdrew it.

Visitors in the United States: You can turn off analytics cookies at any time by clicking the cookie settings icon at the bottom of any page. We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from your browser as a request to opt out.

Strictly necessary cookies cannot be turned off, because the Website cannot work properly without them.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

cookieyes-consentCookieYes (ouradventistlife.com)Stores your cookie consent choices so we don’t ask again on every visit. It does not collect any personal information.1 year

We may also set essential security or performance cookies through our hosting provider (Hostinger). These are used only to deliver the Website securely and reliably.

Analytics cookies (set only with your consent where required)

Google Analytics tells us things like which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, the general region they visit from (country or city level), and what device and browser they use. GA4 does not log or store IP addresses. We use this information only in aggregate to improve the Website. We have turned off Google’s advertising features (Google signals and ads personalization), and we keep Analytics data for [2 / 14] months.

Google processes this data as our service provider. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy and “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services”. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Legal basis (EU/UK visitors)

We use strictly necessary cookies because they are needed to provide the Website you asked for. We use analytics cookies only with your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy Directive).

International data transfers

Google may process Analytics data in the United States and other countries. When data about visitors from the EU, UK, or Switzerland is transferred, Google uses recognized safeguards, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

How to control cookies

  • Cookie settings: Click the cookie settings icon at the bottom of any page to accept or reject analytics cookies.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. See your browser’s help menu for instructions. If you block all cookies, some parts of the Website may not work properly.
  • Global Privacy Control: If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of analytics cookies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the personal information we hold about you, to object to its processing, or to withdraw consent. In the EU/UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, please contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy if the cookies we use change or if the law requires it. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make significant changes, such as adding new types of cookies, we will ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
