Before I Met Jesus
Growing up, I was surrounded by the rhythms of everyday life — work, family, hopes, and disappointments. I believed in God, but my spirituality felt distant, compartmentalized, something I reserved for quiet moments or church. My faith was more tradition than a relationship. I was searching, often chasing meaning in things that would never fully satisfy: achievement, certainty, approval.
At times, I felt a restlessness deep inside — a longing that nothing in the world could fill. I tried to quiet it through busyness, through “doing good,” but the emptiness remained. I knew there was something more, a deeper purpose I hadn’t yet discovered.
How I Came to Christ
My journey toward Jesus didn’t happen in one dramatic moment. Instead, it was a gradual awakening. I began spending time in God’s Word, asking honest questions, and letting myself be vulnerable in prayer. Through that openness, I realized how much I needed a Savior — not just for forgiveness, but for transformation.
God met me in everyday places. He used Scripture, conversations, and quiet whispers in my heart to reveal His love. Over time, I surrendered my fears, my control, and my self-reliance. I turned to Christ in faith, trusting not in my own strength, but in His grace. My commitment wasn’t perfect, but it was genuine: I chose to follow Him.
Life After Christ
Since coming to Christ, my life has changed in ways I never expected. The restlessness has softened into peace. My purpose is no longer defined by worldly success, but by God’s calling on my life. My priorities have shifted — relationships, faith, service, and health matter more now than ever.
Jesus hasn’t erased my struggles — I still have fears, doubts, and hard days. But He walks with me through them. I’ve learned to lean on His strength, not mine. My faith is no longer about going through the motions; it’s about a real, living relationship with God.
Because of Christ, I live with hope — hope for today and for eternity. His love sustains me, and His grace changes me daily. I’m not the same person I was “before,” and I’m so grateful for how God is writing my story — one step at a time.
What I Believe Now
- I believe God loves me unconditionally, not because of what I do, but because of who He is.
- I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again, securing my salvation and giving me new life.
- I believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word, a guide for how to live in truth and grace.
- I believe God calls me to live intentionally: to serve, to grow, to love, and to share His hope with others.
- I believe in the power of community — that we’re meant to walk this journey together, encouraging one another in faith.
